this is not correct, to the best of my knowledge. There are different part numbers, but the part # revisions generally coincided with model year firmware changes. And as I recall, your firmware is updated when you first insert a new revision nav DVD anyway. There is only one RB1, and it...
Re: Sirius & RBQ - Maybe I\'m slow...
to put a finer point on it, the RB1 actually has an extra pin on the 10-way AUX input to handle this information. for most uses (CD-changer, U-connect, etc.) only 8 of the 10 pins are used, with the other two left as no-connect. RB1 uses one of those to...
Re: Sirius & RBQ - Maybe I\'m slow...
you can't, unfortunately. Only the RB1 (and possibly RB4) can do that. The non-navi radios with the exception of RBB and RBK only display channel # and channel name. The RBB and RBK only show the channel #.
DCX only pays dealers 2/10ths book time on warranty repairs. Dealers frequently try to weasel out of warranty work (esp. on something like a clutch) 'cos they don't make much (if any) money on it.
either will work. the 10-disc from a '02-'04 Grand Cherokee will work.
wherever you can fit it :p
not a chance. Ford and Chrysler used different buses. Chrysler's J1850 isn't compatible with the ACP bus Ford used in the Marauder.
RB1 does full map display, RB4 does not (it's "turn-by-turn.")
RB1 is one DVD-ROM for navi, RB4 is multiple CD-ROMs.
RB1 can't run navi without the disc, RB4 can to some extent.
RB1 is made by Alpine, RB4 is made by Harman-Becker.
er, no, it connects to the radio over normal copper wires. four audio lines, one battery, one enable, one ground, and two ACP bus wires.
well, the hottest part is the heatsink, and as it's a big hunk of aluminum, it'll take a while to cool down.
Re: The question that most can\'t answer correctly
The distinction is pretty much meaningless these days.
in the past, the bore spacing (not bore diameter itself) was one key characteristic; a wider bore spacing does allow for a larger bore diameter, and increases the size of the block.
There...
