Sorry, I thought we were talking about realistic resale prices. My bad. By the way, a '96 993 turbo for $75,000 will likely have a few more miles than your GTS. '96-97 993's are some of the strongest Porsches in terms of resale value.- Kid97GTS

Knock Sensor?
Actually, I've heard that Skid Roe is no longer offering the VEC 1 - a convenient way to price differentiate by forcing the upgrade to a VEC 2. Knock Sensor?
Anyone know if the 97 engine has a knock sensor. I'm running 14:1 A/F mixture, and I'm a little worried about getting on it too much without a knock sensor. Thanks.- Kid97GTS

New Exhaust - Cats or no Cats?
Lose the cats - sound is improved, get some cool flames and a nice power bump. I guess you could try out some of the pricey high flow cats if you are really finicky about the smell (I don't notice it) or noise. Cat removal??
Maybe those fumes you and Sean smell are coming from the brakes. As far as the residue ending up in my gills, I'm not in a habit of putting my grill near my rear bumper while driving, so I guess it's not really an issue for me.
