    J DAWG, From my younger days I remember, 1 second at 1 mile in elevation. The "PRO" cars weren't as fast as they are now though.

    Bad news speedsftr, I think your diagnosis is correct.With the "chocolate milk" oil, all the bearings will be spotted/damaged. A light rebuild is in order or overhaul for MORE POWER! Pick your tech carefully. Cheap is not the way to go. Least expensive option might be a used engine. I feel your...

    SF Final, Sounds like loose suspension, look for a shinny spot where parts/linkage come together. Do you have a prybar? Retorque nuts and bolts.

    Chin guard help

    gaurd update Hi all! Called Snake Oly, left message and never heard back from them. :mad: So I took matters in to my own hands. Added 2 5/16" washers at the mounting points,between frame and the guard, added a 3-5 degree bend 3 inches up from the cross bar, no more problems or paint contact...

    Jerry, The slats touch the paint/front facia before the pads, as if the gaurd needs to be mounted further back under the car.

    Just got my chin guard from snake oyl. Are the tongues/slats suppose to touch the paint? The instuctions say that washers may be required on some facias. Did anyone run into this or have to modify the guard. Thanks for the help in advance. :2tu:

    Congrats Shadow! I think all cars need to have a scratch/scuff/flaw on them or they will get scratched or worse! Murphys law ya-know. Seems to be my experience/bad luck. Someone offers a "chin guard" for about $125.00, bolt on type, but I forget the supplier. I know its here on the accessory...

    Thanks again Ed! Pulled the seat,removed the seat rails,drilled out the stop bumps and removed plastic rivets/stops.I got 3 more notches of adjustment.Someone 4'2" could drive it now! The whole thing/operation took about 2 hours,(I had to drive to my other house for larger dill bit). :D :) :D

    Painting stripes ... how much?

    I'm thinking, what do non factory stripes do to the cars value? :confused: I'd like to match my cobra, yellow with black stripes. I like wider stripes than what I've seen on the coupes.My cobra has 8" stripes rather than the factory 6". I think it sets the car off better,that's why I'm leaning...

    Wazzup, Just got my 95 RT-10(yellow),and my GF can't reach the pedals.Is/are there any semi-easy fixes.I told her she wasn't tall enough for this ride!That didn't go over too well.THANKS. :cool:

    Andrew, batterys will boil/leak if the acid level is too high and if the system is overcharging-too much voltage.I also recommend the optima! :D
