In the VCA Classifieds, of course:

http://classifieds.viperclub.org/showproduct.php?product=582

And yes, it is REALLY an automatic and I am not some goofball who thinks that it might have been a factory option (it wasn't). Here are a few pics:

Thanks for checking it out!

The interior looks really clean. I wish you the best of luck with the sale, and hope to hear more from you in the future.

As a side note, I read the classified ad and just want to give you a big thumbs up for owning this car and making it unique, mainly for the manual to auto conversion. I'm sure you enjoyed this car from the moment you bought it. Could you tell us more about the auto transmission, how it drives etc? I think a few of us in here would like to hear about it.

Who did the conversion?

This is from the classified ad:

Unfortunately, it had to be done right twice. Unable to get it to work properly in Houston, I later shipped the car to Woodhouse Dodge in Blair Nebraska. There the team of Viper techs and specialists worked overtime to make it run like a top in every gear.

There is nothing boring about Mr. Abel. My hat is off to him for doing what was NECESSARY for him to drive a Viper. Cant wait to see the next one, Mr. Abel.

Am I missing something? Please note that I said that an automatic Viper is boring without reference to it's driver.

I think he was just put off in that Aaron is a double-amputee and really doesn't have much choice as far as driving a Viper.

So which is more boring: Driving a Corvette automatic or a genuine VIPER with an automatic? Rest assured that the Viper is anything but boring...

Can't wait to see Aaron's new Viper as well. Heard it has a very trick transmission as well! :2tu:

Apparently I am missing something. I just checked out Abel's classified ad, and to quote him,
As a double-amputee (left leg and arm), I am unable to drive a six-speed.
In that context I'm impressed with your automatic modification but I still think an automatic Viper is boring.

And as I stated before, good luck with the sale. I'm sure there's a market for it. Sorry if my post seems offensive, it's not meant to be.:2tu:

Very nice and a atuomatic to boot!:2tu: At the strip, on street tires, I almost always had a better reaction time and better 60' time compared to a manual trans car. But then again I'm no Ronnie Sox!:drive:

I would love to try it at the strip and see how she runs. The new car in the avitar looks awsome! Who did the seats and interior panels in the RT/10? They look great.

The car drives really well. I can put in drive & cruise like a normal car, or run it through the gears to hit it hard. I can't power brake with one foot, so I just let off the break & stomp on the gas. Ran a 12.666 at the track at VOI 9 in Vegas. Somebody with more experience (that was my first time on a drag strip), and 2 feet could probably get way better times.

The stereo and interior were done by IME in Houston, TX. They did a great job. I told them about what I wanted & they really came through. The stereo pounds.

Thanks for the comments, guys!

I certainly commend Mr. Abel for the passion he enjoys for the Viper--automatic tranny, so what? Most of us don't track the car, an automatic transmission will make it faster light-to-light!!! Good luck with the sale, I can see someone snapping this baby up!! Can't wait to see your newest acquisition!! ~juli

Yeah, Mark's pretty proud of my newest "creation." You'd think he had something to do with putting it together!:headbang:

We have all the pictures to document the build and will be willing to share after a while. Mr. Abel is working on something special and we want to let this run it's course before we post any additional information. I will tell you though the red and black buttons are GEAR selectors and there is NO normal automatic traits. Probably shifts faster and harder than you could with a 6 spd. and no missed shifts!

:rolaugh: Actually, the shifting mechanism keys on a particular type of brain wave, and shifts accordingly. Works great unless a super hot girl walks by, then it tends to get a little jittery.

Mark is working on a filter to sort through non-driving related thoughts, which should be very nice. Once it's chrome plated, it'll be a nice addition to the cockpit!

Will certain people get rides in the new car?;)
Fingers crossed the old one goes to someone who will appreciate that great stereo.
