How common is shock failure on Gen IV's?

Just noticed a very small puddle of very clean oil under the front drivers side of my car. Got under it and finally found a very small drip coming from the front shock.

How reliable have these stock shocks been? Car has around 2000 miles on it. Is this a swap out only issue or is the shock "fixable" by the dealer in any way?

Thanks,
George

Sorry for your problem. No problems on my '08, so far, but I'm going to keep an eye on it.

Got it thanks....hopefully the shocks aren't on some type of back order.

Since the oil is so clean and straw colored, it would be easy to miss a leaking shock, especially since it drips between the A arm opening and doesn't leave much of a trail on the under side of the car.

Cheers,
George
