Well DeceptioN, it seems like everyone was enjoying the thread (just having fun with it) until I was notified that this wasn't the PINKS section & I don't need to be out racing in my Viper UNTIL I learn how to post correctly! At least thats how I understood it.

Seems to me like just another post for entertainment and to kill time. I know I'm not the only 1 trying to kill time at work hitting the new posts button every minute or so. Eventually there are just no more interesting topics so a topic like this is needed to fill in the void.

As compared to what? Back in 2006 or 2007 when everyone here was
focused? Time killing posts of no revelavance have been posted on this
forum (like all forums across the interweb I would wager) since the
very begining. Want irrelevant, try 80% of the posts before the OTRiots.
The real issue to me here, if you take issue with "crap posts" then what
lead you to open a thread titled "Run for Pinks?" believing it would
contain dire Gen2 information? It would be nice if everyone made their
posts in the correct forums 100% of the time, and that their posts are
informative and precise... but that's just not the real world.

Not into drag racing myself but the biggest problem I hate about Pinks is NO Christmas tree and NO timing. The hostile dude just lowers his arms to start. Dumb, but I guess he wants to be the star and in the lime light. It also appears they only like old muscle cars or trucks and dont like expensive rides.

I was actually watching Pinks All Out today & I was wondering the same thing (why no Xmas tree) how do you know if one or the other doesn't red light. And it seemed like the dude that starts them (kept showing him more than anything, I do know he's suppose to be the main guy but it seems like he liked to show off his guns/arms more than anything) and it showed some times on the screen & both cars had to beat or they were out. The few times I've seen guys run for pinks (anything goes, mods, nitrous or whatever) like an Open class, you can run whatever you bring to the dance. JMO

I Guarantee you it would be way too many redlights then, but definitely more interesting. First time I've actually watched a good bit of the show & Its kinda like stugots said, is really more BS than anything.

I would never race for pinks but I would race for money. Vipers aren't really sleepers, so if someone wants to race a Viper that says twin turbo on the side for $1000 I would say they have a pretty fast car.

WOW 9.36 thats pretty quick in the 1/4. Thats definitely hookin-up off the line, I don't imagine you have to many people knockin on your door looking for a race! Yea, I would run for money but I'd never take a chance on pinks either, even running a 9.36. Do you have any of your runs in the 1/4 on youtube. You're right though, if someone sees twin turbo on the side of a Viper they either have something up their sleeve or they're a Fool!

I did Pinks All Out , fast forward to about 4:50 to see the vid. They loved the Viper , I make about 100 more HP now than I did then.........ART Paxton GTS

Viper spray, Thanks for the Awesome video clip. That looks like it would be a Blast, you see men, women, young & old & Everybody is having a Great time. I would love to go to one & just hang out & go around looking at all the different cars. It seems like they stress heavily Not to do any sandbagging before the finish line (if you do they can send you home), Does the started guy ever change shirts by the way. I think it would be fun for some of the Viper guys to get together & go to one. Do you know how many different places they race each year, I guess you could go to the website & get all the info. Can you get together after its over with & do any grudge races.
