I'd also see about talking to Dan Lesser at Viper Specialty. He does a lot of custom projects that are often focused around custom control systems. I think that is going to be your biggest issue. Not sure the factory PCM will run "standalone" so to speak or if you'd have to take the whole dash and driveline sensors with it like the wheel sensors, transmission, etc. I don't know how much gen 5 work he has done so far, but he knows his stuff for sure.
