Any ideas or help with the tight pedal space. I have a 2004 convertible and I h wear a size 14 1/2 shoe this causes me to hit two pedals at once sometimes.

I typically wear minimalist shoes when driving mine - regular running shoes, especially the ones I typically buy these days have incredibly thick and wide soles, and that gives me the same problem you describe.

Something like these: https://xeroshoes.com/products/xt-max-men

I also removed the dead pedal...it was always getting in my way even set at its farthest back position.

Physically fixing the pedal spacing isn't really an option. It's a byproduct of how far back the engine sits in the engine bay.

agree. Proper driving shoes (or light and tight) make a huge difference. I wear a sz 13 and have specific shoes that I wear while driving the viper or my 911. I drove home from my office once in work boots and it was a nightmare in an old e46 I had.

might try IPSCO adjustable pedals. You can get some clutch & brake spacing that may help you. The link says G4 & 5 but I think the'll work for you G3

I wear a 12EEEE and it's pretty bad. I've considered narrowing the pedals by cutting maybe 1/4" off the sides.

Race shoes are narrow... I have the extension from IPSCO and some washers as spacers on the gas pedal to move it to the right 1/8 inch.
Last the clutch height adjuster. I am running fixed seats and all this gets me the correct reach and spacing.

A bit of history:

"In September of 2002 when the not-yet-released 2003 SRT-10's were offered for test drives at VOI.7 in Nashville, a Skip Barber instructor rode with each driver on the small autocross courses. As one entered the driver's seat, the instructor pointed out several things...one of which was that they wanted you to engage the ABS at the end of the course, AND stated that you would LIKELY be carrying 3000 rpm on the tach as most of the drivers would not be aware of the proximity of the brake pedal to the gas pedal, thereby catching the gas pedal upon right foot braking...especially since the addition of a dead pedal had caused a "right shift" in the pedal relationships. When switching among our Gen I's, II's, and III...I have to be very careful about this at the start of the outing.

Remember just how many folks driving a Gen I or II for the first time hit the brake pedal with the tip of their left foot as they were depressing the clutch for a full stop ?? !!! "
