I hear some people talk about having 1,400 miles on this one or 2,500 miles on that one. Obviously, that is a "low mileage" car. What is the concensus on the point at which a 2001 would go from "low mileage" to "high mileage"? :dunno:
I guess I should have mentioned...I have 28,500 on mine.
There is a great how to DIY on vinyl striping your Viper in the Illustrated Upgrades section. You have to be a VCA member to access it. I joined the VCA and this was one of my reasons for doing so.
What color do you have and what color are the stripes? I will be making mine into a bumblebee...
The seats on my 01 RT/10 have what appear to be sweat stains on the seat part of the seats (kinda like what you would get by sweating in a baseball cap). They were like this when I bought the car. I have tried regaular soap & water and leather cleaner. I am not sure if this can be gotten out...
Hello everyone...I am a new VCA member (though frequented the board prior to joining). I work in downtown Denver and have a 2001 yellow RT/10. I look forward to meeting everyone when the next event rolls around. Anything else happening before winter rears its ugly head?
Is there any drawback to keeping the stock exhaust with hi flow cats? Does it cancel out the benefit if you dont go with a different exhaust...or is it just sound preference?
I have been wanting to install hi flow cats, but am concerned that the car wouldn't pass the emissions tests. Can someone in Colorado chime in? I would remove the cats altogether, but I am sure it wouldn't pass emissions then. Thoughts?
Oh and just curious...I became a VCA member the other day...
I am in Colorado. I bought a yellow 2001 RT/10 off Ebay about two yrs ago from Montana. I have a few pictures her in the gallery under my username. I look forward to attending some events in the near future!
My license plate is "ITL BITE"...though I suppose "IM EASY" would be just as appropriate!
Okay....you guys convinced me to join. I just called HQ and signed up. I look forward to being a member for the rest of 07 and throughout 08! Geez, I'm easy!
But doesn't its installation required the drilling of holes or something? I looked at mine when I got the car and read the directions and remember thinking "I won't be putting any holes in anything..."
I really like the stripe on stripe, but I agree the side sill stripes are too wide and are bordering on excessive. Very cool to see someone stepping outside the box though!! Congrats!
