    I can feel a difference in height on my painted on stripes also. I would think that it's due to the stripes being added on top of the color coat.     Clear Side Markers

    I put mine from Klearz in last month and think they look pretty nice. I used the original base painted dark blue and just changed out the lenses. You will need to get some amber bulbs to be legal, but that's easy enough.
