If you are just running daily fluid Valvoline Synthetic is a great choice. Motul is sweet for track days and of course Castrol at about $100 a quart is the best track fluid.
It is a Traxxis 3.3, check them out online. The body is from another vendor, HPI or HDI or something like that. The car is about $400 and runs on nitro methane. The body is only $25 but give yourself 2 weeks and a lot of beer if you want it to be perfect to finish it. If you are serious I...
0-60 in 3.2 seconds, all wheel drive, 70 mph in 1/10 scale. Painting the body, applying the decals, cutting everything out was an absolute pain but it was worth it.
PittRT, This turns out not to be true. Originally thought so but not true. The rivits on the Gen1's are also aluminum. The problem though is that the rivits went through the insulation(since they hold it on) and therefore the end closest to the exhaust is exposed. When the exhaust heats up...
The best way is to wait until it is dark or cover windows in garage. Putting a small flashlight right against the tank when it is dark allows you to see the coolant level.
I should stop before people get ticked saying that this is turning into a Neon forum but although I totally know it is just a Neon...I appreciate that the Viper influence has allowed Dodge to create a hotrod Neon so people without 50K can afford a lot of fun.
It isn't anything to look at but...
I was heading up I75 and a Neon SRT4 came up behind me. We had a blast for 10 miles and went to 140 a few times as traffic allowed and that thing was hanging in there. I don't know the top speed of it but it was a blast. That would be a nice addition as a daily driver to the Viper.
I know Eric at Motive found the Ford 3 prong cap fit the non ABS Vipers. He sent us one along with a Bleeder for the Viper Brunch raffle. It worked perfectly and is something like $10. I wonder if Motive also makes the Miller ABS cap. It would be much cheaper than $94.
When you get the...
Ron, I probably sold you the quick connect setup and you ordered the cap from Miller. Since then, they have released the Ford 3 prong cap that fits our non-abs Vipers. It has been a long time since talking to them but I bet they have caps now for ABS Vipers and Gen3's.
If you don't mind...
As usual, Chuck knows. Although I paid $800 from him for the gasket set and was ticked at the time it feels like a bargain now. I called Chuck 3 or 4 times during the install and he walked me through everything. Made the $800 pain go away.
I wonder what went wrong. I have given up on the universal adapter except on my old pickup and a frends Vette but I have the Motive caps for the BMW and Mini and the Miller cap for the Viper. I worked up a quick connect fitting to switch the caps. I never have a leak and love that thing. The...
