    Great mod for $55

In order for your air conditioning to work properly or your doors to close completely, you need a vent for that air to escape. They are normally in the rear quarters of your car. If this window does not allow sufficient air exchange between the front and rear compartment it may cause issues on...

Shifting through the gears doesn't seem very smooth.

Hondas have some of the slickiest shifting sticks in the business. Maybe even better than Mazda, however they have very light clutches and transmissions that have very little torque to transmit. The Viper, on the other has 500/600 lbs of torque to transmit. The clutches and transmissions need...

    Headers and Exhaust. Worth it???

If any car can rock a set of headers it is the Viper. Sound is much more intense, revs come easier, snarled are significant. These cars love headers. With your cats gone, things are gonna be just a bit nastier. The sound is an acquired taste, but for most Viper types it is music to their ears...

OHLINS DFV vs KWs V3, my track experience.

Had a similar experience on my 09. It came with KW's when I bought it. Was the least expensive way to lower the Viper at the time. Never became impressed with the KW shocks. They had a unnerving pogo stick ride, did not allow the suspension to move very much. Skittered over bumpy roads and were...

2016 Viper ACR and the Nurburgring lap time...

The only way a manual transmission will be able to obtain these numbers is to have an electrical or kinetic system fill in additional torque during the dead moments between shifts. This would also make the cars quicker through the corners as you would not have torque loss in the corners that...

K&N 69 Series Typhoon Air Box/Filter... Any Issues?

Early reports said that the stock air filter setup works well, and that aftermarket filters are not much, if any improvements. On the other hand, the K&N testing shows increased power, and the filter/metal tubes look fantastic, and really dresses up the engine compartment. Have not heard of...

    Did I win the raffel?!

Not sure if they will announce the winner right at 10:00. Believe in the past they liked to contact the winner directly, and give them the good news before announcing it to the general public. When my phone rang at 8:00 this morning I thought that maybe they had drawn my ticket, sadly it was...

Buying a GTS, but which to buy?

Financially you might be best off buying a relatively low mileage B/W and putting just enough miles on it to keep it drivable. Option 2 is to buy a higher mileage other than B/W and not worrying at all about how many miles you put on it. Best financial option is to just rent a high performance...

    SRT Concept Hypyecar

It would not be surprising to see some of these functional and design elements show up in the next generation street and racing Vipers.

Is it just me or does activity in the Viper world seem low?

Depends on your region. In many areas, the splitting up of the club caused things to go pretty dark. In other regions there seems to be a revitalization of owners. They have been reorganizing with simple phone calls. Someone wants to go out for a run, and calls up a bunch of his buddies and the...

    Gen V as a DD?

Compared to a sport bike, the Viper is pure luxury. Climate control, tunes, power windows and seats, lots of storage space, easy conversation with passenger, kick off your shoes comfort. Vipers have a firm, and well controlled ride. Not bone jarring or filling removing at all. The shifter and...

Dodge and FCA apparently support viper owners better than Nissan does with GT-R owner

Re: Dodge and FCA apparently support viper owners better than Nissan does with GT-R o Gen I and II Vipers also had trouble with extended track use in stock form. Their brakes tended to fade and engine temps climbed up into the red zone. Track rats addressed these issues by upgrading brake...

Are there Normal Operating "Limitations" for my Viper? Oil pressure, temperature etc

Re: Are there Normal Operating "Limitations" for my Viper? Oil pressure, temperature Most modern vehicles have fail safe electronic sensors that will reduce down to a limp home mode if parameters are exceeded. These parameters depend on various inputs, so just one specific number should not be...

Looking to buy my first Viper! Need opinions!

Gen III Vipers are fantastic. Getting a smoother, quieter ride is often as easy as changing out the run flat tires for some Michelin Super Sports. (Transforms the car). They do not tend to squeak as are built on a very strong solid chassis. The one latch manual top is super easy to flip up or...

    Add to the list...

My Mercedes also does this. I notice it most when we experience a temperature drop. A huge red warning light shows on the dash and instructs immediate attention. Usually it is just that the cold weather has caused the tire pressure to drop an few pounds.
