I'm confused about the effect of the rear gear ratio. Below are two links on the feeling of low torque on the 08s.
It seems to me a higher(numerically) gear ratio has to increase the pushing power to the road. So in the absence of any wheelspin a higher ratio should accelerate faster. Drag...

Where is the on-off switch for the passenger air bag. The owner's manual says the center console, but it in no present in my 2008. I didn't see it in the glove compartment and not in the trunk.
When someone is in the passenger seat the yellow light comes on that says the airbag is turned off...
I feel the same way about the power curve. It comes on more like a high reving foreign car or a turbo car. I expected a flatter torque curve. I had more torque down low with a 383 Lingenfelter engine. I think the fast power rise makes the car less predictable.
Have so many accidents happened with the earlier year Vipers? Do all the Vipers have a high accident rate? Just the 80? Or does it seem that way because the accidents are reported on this forum?
When we first got our 08 the handling was very unstable and the car was scary. We got the wheels...
For the track I got a Sticky Pod set up, large suction cups and hardware, to mount a video camera on the windshield. It works but its a pain to set up, need to redo each time,and the suction cups only hold a short time.
Actually the dealer wanted more than 150K. He wanted MSRP plus 50K on top. The ZR1 is priced at about 103K and everyone will get the 10K option, so he wanted 113 + 50K, 163k total.
I don't see how you can go into 5th before the bridge. I got to just below 150 down the long straight, in 4th gear. Going into 5th before the bridge would be 150 or higher.
I can agree I need more time in the Viper to increase the exit speeds.
