I've looked into the 5-6 gear ratio change. When my transmission implodes, and it will with the power I'm making, I will change the ratios, polish and cryo everything.
Good idea.
And just to clarify. When I participated in the Texas Mile last October, I was topping out at 205.x mph in 5th. I don't think I would pick up any speed going to 6th with the factors in play at that speed. My choices are...change gears...change tranny ratios...or put the tallest...
I just spoke with Kevin. He as assured me that his 9 sec. run was above board and without reproach...on off the shelf 20" tires.
My apologies...Congrats.
Congrats. I look forward to seeing you do it again, but at Bradenton. I'll even loan you some tires...in fact, I insist.
If it's OK, mine won't have www.trackclaw.com on them. :2tu:
Well here's an option for you paddle proponents....I know of one Viper tuner who has installed at least one...

Thread is as gay as the "What are you buying your corvette for xmas" thread on CF. Whether it looks better or enhances the driving experience...it's an improvement either way. By this logic...A/C, ABS, power windows, power locks and god-forbid a convertable top, make it less of a Viper.
It...
First and foremost, build the motor with the TT install. With that being said, I drove my car from Dallas to Sarasota, Fl. Made 15 1/4 mile passes and then drove it home without incident. Racing solutions offers a GREAT SYSTEM.
Racing Solutions does great work. Of course, I'm a customer. I would suggest spending the extra money and building your motor. If you don't, you'll be stuck with about 750rwhp...which you can get from a Paxton...for ALOT less money.
Racing Solutions has done several manual to auto conversions...and they don't recommend it for the higher HP cars. The autos just won't handle much more than 700rwhp, not to mention dealing with a stall converter. If you're planning to stay around 700rwhp and want to drag race it, an auto...
Mine weighed in at 3800lbs on the Bradenton race track scales with me @ 200lbs. Keeping in mind of the TT system, full tank and stereo stuff. I'm not sure what difference the Forgeline/Pirelli's make.
I made 20+ passes this last weekend between the 1/4 mile and the 60-130 competition. The only flaw was me...driving it. My best time in the 60-130 was 5.4 seconds. And my best 1/4 pass was 10.33 @ 146mph. Thanks again Jason and RSI for building me a dependable supercar.
I don't know of a drag radial that will get traction in wet conditions. With dry conditions, my car handles great...turning and straight. I also have the Moton Club Sports. I only use my BFG's when it's not supposed to rain, the track or whenever I need to take care of any "call-outs" on the...
No issues here...with almost 1100rwhp...and NO traction control. Just like driving a Viper for the first time...you have to get used to it. I have the BFG 18's with the SSR wheels in addition to my 19/20's. When properly heat cycled...the BFG's are fine at the track as well as on the...
Woodhouse is the best source for Moton's for the money. They do come with the springs and spring helpers. I changed mine out the my driveway with a jack...not difficult at all. If you get somebody to do it for you, don't pay them more than 3 hrs. of labor to do it.
From a 40. The funny thing is, the camera car is 600rwhp Terminator and had 6 lengths and couldn't keep up. The result was at least 5 cars on the big end. Of course this all took place south of the border.
