Thanks for the tip. I'll also adjust the exuast so that it sits a little lower on that side which will help it ventilate. Now if I can only find that nut riveter locally around here.
I was idling my Viper the other day in order to charge the A/C. After a time I discovered the right side sill was burning. The side where an old repair had been done. I hosed it down.
How is the outer side sill heat sheild mounted? I really don't want to take apart the good side to check...
I got a couple of cool comments yesterday. One was when I stopped at a gas station to fill up my Viper.
There was a young guy already filling up when I pulled in. I knew he would like the car. Then after a slight delayed reaction, I heard a "Holy Sh********t".
The same morning when I pulled...
In the past I've accidently responded to postings by posers, and got called a lot of names in return.
Like children do.
First thing that came to mind when I saw your post. Clear enough?
I think it'll be another lifetime till these cars turn into a means for the wealthy to move their money around. They're just too current. We just have to suffer and enjoy them for what they were built for unfortunately. The non-clone Hemi'Cuda can get shuffled around from paint booths in a...
Re: Jack Villeneuve \'s RT/10 Venom
Villeneuve got stuck with his buddy's loser team too long, and that did his career in during that brief phase when a driver is young and hungry. Loyalty has its price.
It was a proud moment when he won the Indy 500, and the F1 championship.
I think the F40 is one of the prettiest cars ever made. They just got the lines perfect on that one. The Ferrari will spend a lot more time at the dealer than the Viper, because although awkward, the Dodge can be a reliable daily driver. I know mine is.
Why are there so many posts on this forum from people wondering where to get original replacement parts for their Viper?
A- It says Dodge on the left corner of the back bumper. That should be a big clue.
B- Its a current car. Not some old obscure make.
Must be a 21st century thing...
Coincidentally, I checked my rearview mirror on my way to work on this drizzly morning and there was a silver Viper behind me. Two big fish randomly so close together in the big ocean. It was pretty cool.
With enough real world driving over pot holes etc. the hood alignment will suffer. Not to mention the rockers and wheel edges. That's probably why Dodge redesigned the hood anyway. Can't have your cake and eat it too.
What's the reason for averting the parts department of the local Dodge dealer?
Why would you play the old muscle-car game if you don't have to? We have a collection of vintage American cars, and the Viper being current, makes things easy.
Re: Anyone see the red version of the Srt-10 coupe? Looks like it has diffe
Nice picture. The more it looks like the GTS the better it looks. That's progress for you.
Try to get proper wires used in moving machinery as replacement. Dodge didn't bother with those details. Just replacing it with more of the same from the dealer won't really be a permanent fix.
Re: Hey Chrysler ........what\'s the point?
My feeling is the company tried to come up with a Viper with a wider appeal in '03, and fumbled the ball. Now they have a beast of a car that even fewer people want. By the way I really like your bluesnake Avatar.
