Re: Dave\'s Big Brake Upgrade The ACR wheels will clear. I did Dave's upgrade and it's an A+ upgrade on my ACR.

    Sloan Kwik Load Trailers

Hi, I have to agree that the Sloan KwikLoad is the way to go. I tried an enclosed trailer and I couldn't get the door open enough for my "full-figure" and aged-bones. The doors open easily over the fenders, there are nice little storage boxes in the deck to hold your tie-down straps and I...

    Good viper shops in DFW?

Hi, I have been very pleased with Joey at Greenville Chrysler, Greenville, TX. He is a genuine "wrench head", has installed my roll cage, Dave's big brakes, Machineworks heads, roller rockers, Vec2/Innovate, Belanger headers/Corsa exhaust, Comp Cam, etc. and it's been "spot on"! BUT...he's...

\no Vipers in Cabo San Lucas

Re: \\no Vipers in Cabo San Lucas Hi Ken, I was kidding, implying that it's a "sign of weakness" at four-ways! NOT implying that you should be afraid of driving or exploring Cabo! The locals are in no way dangerous! BTW, the highway to La Paz is through free-range so cattle can and will...

\no Vipers in Cabo San Lucas

Re: \\no Vipers in Cabo San Lucas Hola, I travel to Cabo often and have a little two story casita half way between San Jose del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas but would never consider driving my Viper there. Rather, drive something with SIZE and Never make eye contact at 4-ways! There are no...

    most frustrating search ever

As mentioned before, the asking price may not reflect the eventual selling price. One high-end vehicle may sit unsold and eventually relisted at a more competitive price, etc.

Too Good to be True Offer

Hi and thanks for the input. I approach all transactions with a great deal of skepticism but I will go to the dealership to see what their fabulous offer is in reality. Once at another dealership they gave me an email quote of $37500 for a new Gen III. Just for fun I jumped in my car and got...

Too Good to be True Offer

Well, I got this flyer in the mail from a local Chrysler Dealership that said for three days only, I "will receive 100% of the factory full base model MSRP when new (as provided by NADA) on my vehicle toward a 2006/7 like or upgraded Dodge"!! So I called them and they said Vipers are included...

Upgrade to 708 Lumpy Cam or aftermarket?

I just boxed up my Comp Cam specs to store while my new house is being built! I had the cam ground for strong mid-range for track use and installed with my Machine Works heads, Crower dual springs, Ti guides, T&D's, etc. I don't think that you can beat the price on the 708 for one. The...

    Aldan Shock Absorber Any Good?

Hi Schulmann, I have to agree...I'm "underwhelmed" with the Aldans I have on my ACR. The spring rates are way off for both street and track in my estimation. They are much too soft. The valve adjustments don't seem to have much effect.

    Dallas Viper Techs????

Ron, I've been very pleased with the service and Viper Tech at Greenville Chrysler (he owns a custom chopper shop as well!), having installed all of the mods in my sig. Getting ready to put on a big brake set as soon as the parts arrive.

    Aldan Shock Absorber Any Good?

Dimitrios, I have run these on the track with Hoosiers @ high speed with good control although as I mentioned, the rear feels too soft and I'll be adjusting/evaluating this.

    Aldan Shock Absorber Any Good?

Hi, I have had Aldans on my ACR for about 2 months now. The ride height was adjusted about .5" lower than stock ACR. The initial rear setting has been too soft on the rebound (set at maximum softness @ start) and I'll try about 1/2 full to see how this feels. I'm still evaluating...

    Who insures your Viper?

Steve, Are there any companies that cover track time or drag racing events? I'm sure that your "on your own" with standard auto policies if something happens. I have USAA and Safeco for autos and Collectors Insurance for a firearms collection but I believe they will do auto collections as well.
