    Check the throttle position sensor. I doubt it's the cam sensor as you would likely notice a failure across the entire rev range and it would more than likely throw a check engine light or code as well.

    Bosch Part #N67732 comes up as the stock fuel pump for my 97 GTS. Available to order from most Big Box parts dealers for $900-$1200 depending on where you go. I would agree with the others though that the Walbro is the way to go over stock.

    Not trying to discredit anyone but if the heads are coming off anyway they should be able to be locked down in a drill press and the bolts should be able to be drilled out. It just seems like a machine shop should be able to do this work. :dunno:
