    97 gts key fobs

I just dropped mine the other day and it busted in the same way. I got a new one from JonB for $45 or so, and JB welded (JonB welded?) the old one back together. It's nice to have a backup. The new one wasn't exactly the same and is almost small enough to fit in a normal pocket now. They...

    Help!!! Viper Wont Start!!!!!

You are right that it is probably the alarm that is tripping. That sometimes happens when the battery is low, or bad. You can try charging it, or just replacing the battery. That seems to fix it in most cases. Maybe the detailer left the lights on, or used 12v power for something

    How has V1 hardwired?

Good timing. Mine arrived today, so I'm mulling my options. I know that the lighter plug is pretty easy to get to, so that might be a good place to tap into. The radio/lighter/switch trim is just held on by some velcro on the bottom, and spring clips on the top (at least it was on my '93...

    key fob replacement

Does the year matter? I have a '97 with the luggable key fobs. I dropped a set of keys and the fob's plastic case cracked. I want to replace it with one of them new fangled pocket sized fobs. Anyone know if they will work with my 97 coupe? Anyone tried?

    Just bought my first Viper

Joe, Congrats on the new toy. I think I saw that car in the Post, and wondered about it a bit. You are probably right to check for air in the clutch fluid lines first. I happen to have a clutch from an early 93 that only has 7k miles on it. It's yours if you want it. Not completely sure it...

    Oyster Point Dodge...Opinions?

The principals in the dealership have been members of the VA/MD club since it's start. David Julien is a nice guy. I have never heard any complaints from members who have done business with them.

Can I take my 7mth baby girl for a viper ride?

There's nothing wrong with taking a baby for a ride in a viper. Of course you are going to drive like you have a baby in the car, just like you do in your other vehicle. Make sure the airbag is off if present. JonB got me a dissable kit for my 97 that doesn't have the keyswitch. It wasn't...

    Cheap Parts....

The kit probably will make a difference for your car. I didn't think that they had springs on any '94s though. Are you sure your car is a '94? Maybe european cars are different. I think I remember paying under $40 or so for the update kit

    Cheap Parts....

I don't know of the parts rack ships internationally, but he might give it a try. But... I don't think you need that update. It only applies to 92, and early 93 vipers, not your 94. I guess it's possible that UK vipers are different though. Tell us more about the problem you are trying to...

    Ripley's Believe It Or Not? N O T !!!

Re: Ripley\'s Believe It Or Not? N O T !!! Gee, would a Russian mig do? Last month you probably could have talked Lutz into that one. Not sure now that he's a General (motors).

The Viper concepts so far...were there more?

And don't forget the mid engined Viper drawing. I think it was penned outside Chrysler, so I'm not sure if it counts. It did look cool though. I don't have a copy of it. Can someone post it?

    Riddle me this Batman...Part II

2/Pi I think how two over Pi would apply to a Viper could be a good top ten question... 10. The only good place to store pies in an RT/10 would be under the seat.

    Name that part

Ashtray is from the K-car series. I think it was to remind them where they were coming from. The K cars were still being sold while they were designing the Viper!

    Viper Hood Badges

I believe all of the hood badges are the same. The RT/10 trunk badge looks the same, but is a tad smaller. That's probably what you noticed.

HELP! My Viper won't start !!

Re: HELP! My Viper won\'t start !! If it runs for a few seconds, then shuts off, it's 98% likely that it's your alarm. That's what it does when the alarm has been tripped, and not shut off. Try disarming it first. If the battery has gone dead, been disconnected, or if the computer has been...

May 6th - Sports Car Touring Day in Virginia/Maryland

I'll be there. I actually live about a mile from the meeting point, so if any vipers are interested in arriving en masse, we could meet at my house, then head over together. I will provide coffe, bagels and clean(er than a high school) potty stop too. If interested, send me an email, or give...

    2003 @ NY Auto Show?

Yes. The 03 should be there. A few brave soles from the VA/MD region will be making the pilgrimage op there to see it on the 18th. Anyone want to meet us?

Jon B and the "Canadian" Viper

Re: Jon B and the \"Canadian\" Viper I think you misunderstood Jon a bit. No Vipers were made IN Canada. Your Viper was made along side all other 94 Vipers on Mack Avenue in Detroit. It was made FOR Canadian importation. At some time, it was imported (deported?) from Canada back to the US...

    Stupid airbag question

I can usually learn something from posts that start off with "stupid question"... But this one really is a stupid question. I recently upgraded from a 93 roadster (no airbags) to a 97 GTS with airbags, and no cutoff switch. The only times I usually get to drive, are when I take one of two...

    V3 evolution

So, here's some pictures. This is 3 stage evolution from the original V3 concept to the production RT/10. I think that while they clearly share some DNA, the concept is as over the top as the current car, while the production car is way toned down in comparison. Watch for a story by Mr...

    Shifter ball

Todd, I don't recognize your name, so I don't think you're a member of our local viper club. Our next event is a tech session Saturday in Glenn Burnie, which I think is only a few miles from Severna Park. This would be a good opportunity for you to come out and meet the folks. There are...
