Don't let the large diameter hat fool you, they make the rotor look larger then they actual are. Those look to be around 350mm to 380mm diameter. Have you ever had an issue with brake fade on your GEN3? Even on a track the GEN3 brakes are AWESOME, you can improve them with a better two piece...
If you are refering to the replacment ones that have a single blade, they would add power due to the increase in x-sectional flow area and lower pressure drop. However I am not sure what what happens to the engines idle and transition with these.
the ported stock ones do not do too much.
Has anyone found an interface adapter that works with the factory AMP and SUB? I am putting in a new head unit and was thinking of keeping the factory AMP & SUB, however the factory AMP is digitally activated and requires a CAn-BUS interface box, is the Viper stereo system (AMP & SUB)...
I checked around a little, and we could get a GB going on the KW's for $3100 for 3 sets or more. I can't seem to find anyone on the Motons. Maybe Woodhouse can jump in here if they are interested.
Re: Streal my \'05 Race Yellow SRT10 this weekend!
If you are interested in parting out some of the mods, let me know. I will take the suspension and can send you my 2005 stock shocks + cash.
It is much more likely that a cash rich company like Chery that is backed by the Chinese Gov would buy the Chrysler division of DCX.
There is a proposal on the table for this scary deal, lets see what happens
As long as you request new OEM parts and do not do any panel repairs you should not see a big (if any) drop in the resale value. One important factor is weather or not you have any damage to the frame or the inner fender panel. Either one will end up reducing the value, as they are noticable...
When I worked at Dana, WIX was part of Dana & it was a well known fact that the WIX filters are pure trash. There were several performance tests that rated all of the top filter manufacturers and WIX along with FRAM ended up at the bottom of the barrel. I will try to find the report and...
If you really wanted a smooth T56, you can have yours rebuilt with micro polished gears and triple cone syncros, it will make it nice & smooth, it will also cost you around $1800
The check engine light is part of the OBD2 system and will only come on when a DTC is found. If there is a system to warn you of oil or maintaince it cannot be integrated into the check engine light, it will be a stand alone indicator.
My car seems to be very sensitive to the seal of the gas...
The PS2 non-runflats have better traction then the Rosso's, I have tried both on a track, and the PS2 tires are clearly better handling in wet & dry.
The cross drilling or slotting help to evacuate gas and water trapped between the pad and the rotor. The C6-Z06 pads do wear very fast, this is not necessarily due to the cross drilled rotors, but rather the pad composition and size.
Most rotors are cast iron (or carbon), however these are...
What size rotors are you using on your GTS? The GEN3 is a 14" (356mm) x 1.25"(31.75mm) rotor. I can have them made solid, slotted or drilled or both.
With regards to the Stoptechs, do you know how many bolts are used to mount the hats to the rotors?
Would there be interest in a set of four two piece brake rotors that are cross drilled, slotted and heat treated. The center hats are machined from 6061-T6 bar stock and the rotors are cast iron with directional vanes and coated. These are suitable for heavy track use.
I am thinking about...
Here is a pic of my 05 Vert with IForged Monaco's 19" front & 20" rear.
I have just added an Autoform chrome roll bar and new custom exhaust. I am also working on some two piece rotors to save a few pounds.
