To all of those who were there to provide support and assistance when one needed it most:
Janni & Henry Cone - The NC VCA is #1 because of people like you. Janni, thanks for everything, we owe you big!
Tom Sessions - For all of you folks that don't have access to a Viper Tech like Tom...
As I mentioned in my other post, I recently lost my 1997 B/W GTS in an accident. Bernie was one of the individuals that came to my rescue with supporting documents as to the value of my car. The original offer was $40000 for a B/W with 21,000 miles with out so much as a paint chip. If it wasn't...
Where the heck do you find the time to be as supportive and helpful as you are! For all of you guys & gals in Viper Land let me tell you a story. I recently lost my 1997 B/W GTS in an accident which ended up being totalled. The original offer from my insurance company was $40,000.00 for a...
I have the four post lift from Direct Lift with the optional jack that raises the car to suspend the wheels and suspension. In my opinion it is the hot setup. With the 2 post lifts I've looked at, there were issues with getting the lift pads under the car due to how low these Vipers are. Also...
Due to an unfortunate accident, I have several aftermarket parts for sale in the "MISC. ITEMS" classified section. All items were installed on the car less than 1500 miles prior to the accident. Here's a quick list:
COMPLETE 355 REAR W/SPEEDO COMPENSATOR BOX
BELANGER HEADERS
COMPLETE 3"...
Not sure if the wrapping has anything to do with the error code, but Belanger definetly states not to wrap the headers because the excess heat will cause the coating to fail prematurely.
Guys like Tom are the reason people like me, a previous die-hard Chevy guy, have made the switch to Dodge. Especially the Viper! He makes it possible to enjoy your Viper safely and reliably, no matter how much you attempt to destroy one. Inside joke! Thanks Pal!
Thanks Bonkers! VIR was the first large event the wife and I have attended and it has proven what an awesome community the VCA really is. One was lost but not forgotten, and hopefully a replacement will be had soon. Defintely in time for next July. The support was incredible. Fortunately, only...
Awesome write-up. I was there and would have written the article the same word for word! The only change would be the words "BALLS OF CAST IRON" written in caps lock. Those instructors were incredible. To climb in a car with such potential and not know the driver at all was truly a brave task. I...
VIR IN JULY! WHO\'S GOING???
Just wondering who's planning on attending the event at VIR! I've drag raced all my life, now I'm going to try this road racing thing! LOL
Got to know the body shop manager at the local GM dealership when he repaired the wifes car after an accident. Did such a good job on that car, I tried them out on my RT/10. $365.00 and the finish was perfect. When I bought my GTS a couple months later, it had a couple of chips in the facia and...
Thanks for posting the video! Somehow I missed it when it originally played. They're discription hit it right on the head. The purist would probably hate a Viper, but a real man (or Woman) has to appreciate the raw feel of a Viper.
They're discription kind of reminds me of that old girlfriend...
Re: Who\'s your #1 .......................
Tom Sessions #1 for his knowledge, technical ability, honesty, morals, personality, dedication, patience and all around damn good guy!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh Yea, as for the Viper tech question, Tom Sessions from the Wilmington, NC area is awesome. I'm sure he'll tell you I've wore his cell phone out, but he is the best and has become a true friend too!
I'm in the Concord area, just North of Charlotte. I'm very familiar with the South Charlotte area as I've worked down in that area often. It is a very nice, upscale area, but way too much traffic and congestion for me. Also, Mecklenburg taxes are crazy. Without returning to your original...
This info is straight from Arrow racing. If using the stock head bolts, and they can be reused if threads are not nicked or burred, install dry because the bolts have a special coating, and as J.Dell said, torque in three stages.
45-85-110 ft lbs. This is on a GenII. Hope this helps!
Dwight
Anyone have an idea who makes a Scatter Shield Bellhousing for a GenII. I've look high and low with no success. I understand that SCCA mandates these for some of their classes.
