My SRT-10s have been sold...but, there's good news!

Yes- the SRT-10 truck and my 2006 Viper have both been sold. It was a sad week around here last week. The good news is that the truck went to a great guy starting a family in "that state up north". His little boy was so excited about the truck, he put a few of his action figues on the dash as...

March 9 - Dallara IndyCar Factory Tour in Speedway, IN

Heh heh....the Columbus Cars & Coffee crew will be there too! I expect a pretty serious convoy from Cbus to Indy. :-)

Value of a 2006 Ram SRT-10 Nightrunner series

I've had my 2005 listed at $22K (70K miles) for months and haven't had a single nibble. I agree with Bruce about the "edition" thing. It's really only a few bucks more. The black wheels are nice though. :)

    SRT10 Viper Truck,

The trucks are VERY at home on the track. What's funny is that I can brake later into a turn with the truck than I can with the car. :) If I braked at the 75 mark in the car, I could do it just after the 75 mark with the truck. Yes- the bigass brakes up front help, but the truck itself is...

    SRT10 Viper Truck,

Steve- if you have any questions, feel free to ask. I'm happy to help out fellow truck owners. Email or phone is probably quickest. I don't get on the forums that much anymore. :-)

    Oil and cooler line change

Heh heh....probably not. The engine movement in the truck is just as violent as it is in the car. The ONLY difference is the length of the lines. I am NOT taking anything away from Dan's parts. I know he sells quality gear. I just thought I'd be a nice guy and post the option of doing it yourself.

    Oil and cooler line change

Weird. 70,000 miles on my truck and not a single drop of oil from any of the fittings I built.

    Oil and cooler line change

Or you could just do them yourself (it's damn easy): How to Build Braided Lines with AN Fittings: http://www.srtconnection.com/forums/f22/diy-braided-lines-10668/ Viper Oil Cooler Lines: http://www.srtconnection.com/forums/f22/diy-oil-cooler-lines-11623/ (change lengths to 24")

Anyone seen this before? How do I get rid of it?

The spots are 99.994% gone. Addison says he can still see some of them, but even as he points to the exact areas, I can't see it. I think he's seeing things. :D Scholls S3 Gold and a white pad (and a BUNCH of hours) were used to get rid of the spots. It's certainly nice to have the car back...

    NARRA 2013 schedule

Mansen is trying to talk me into running TT-1 at a few of the events this year. Now....how much does Jim Stout charge for coaching? Hmmmm.... :D :D :D

Junkman's, The Mother of All "How to Fix Your Paint for Novices" Thread!

What I learned from these is that even a 6'1" skinny white guy can be Charles Barkley. :D :D :D FANTASTIC series of vids! Thanks a ton, Junkman!

Anyone seen this before? How do I get rid of it?

Junkman- THANKS! I'm pretty sure these are actually kerosene/jet fuel stains, as the hotel was literally right next to the airport. Why do I think that? My detail guy (Addison Good) told me they are 20 microns deep! That's deep, folks....about half-way through the clearcoat! What's odd is...

Anyone seen this before? How do I get rid of it?

After a night in Charlotte, I came out to find the car covered in morning dew. I thought nothing of it, figured I'd wipe the car down after it had evaporated, and went on to eat breakfast. Before lunchtime, this had happened (but only to one side of the car; the side that had the sun blocked...

    So... who's in Ohio?

Sorry I'm at this thread late. I would have gladly went and looked at the car. Cool that VyprByt94 did that for ya. This club rocks! BTW- that's a *laser* jammer. Not a *radar* jammer. Radar jammers are HIGHLY illegal in this country. Laser...ahem....."diffusers" are legal in almost all...

Gen 4 Drive By Wire Band-Aid Fix....Sort Of

"...the lack of response is insulting." BWAHAHAHAHAHA! 1337 internet points for the wicked pun. Off the top of my head, I can think of 2 reasons why they won't let folks into their spiffy new computer system: 1. Liability. No one likes getting served a subpoena. :-) 2. Warranty. There's...

Gen 4 Drive By Wire Band-Aid Fix....Sort Of

Installed the Sprint Booster today (thanks for the tip, TrackAire!) It works. It REALLY works. Does it make DBW feel exactly like a cable? Nope. Does it get it a lot closer? Yep. The throttle is a little more 'normal' now, but still has some digital issues. The hesitation I was experienceing...

Request for VA Beach area members! (Car check-out)

HUGE thanks to VCA member Tom Mc. for his help with checking out the car!!! It's a winner and it's been purchased. The difference between a friend checking it out and a VCA member? A friend: "The car looks good. Drives real nice." VCA Member: "When I took the car out for a test drive, the...

Request for VA Beach area members! (Car check-out)

Hey folks! I wanted to ask if anyone is in or near VA Beach if they could check out a car for my little brother. He's just back from the Army and we're trying to find him a decent ride. The best one we found is in your neck of the woods. A quick drive around the block is all we need. If you...

Gen 4 Drive By Wire Band-Aid Fix....Sort Of

Heh heh....you don't know me very well, Steve. "light reading" for me is the service manual for the TR-6060 (my early morning read today). It's sad to see all this talk over the past few months, but zero action. I guess that's my cue......

Gen 4 Drive By Wire Band-Aid Fix....Sort Of

That thread pretty much has the same info as this one. It's a bummer than 09/10 guys are left out in the breeze with the skip shift. And all of us Gen.4 guys are screwed when it comes to access to the computer. Damn lawyers. :D What's odd is that the 2010-current Challengers run the same...

Gen 4 Drive By Wire Band-Aid Fix....Sort Of

So.....who's going to be the first 2009 or 2010 owner to try the skip shift delete? The install is about as difficult as microwaving popcorn. Come on....some of our brethren below the 32nd Parallel still have their cars out.... :D
