Not sure if it's a door sag issue. I had a similar tear and used high-quality black electrical tape to fix it eight years ago. Still looks good, and with dozens of people checking out my car over the years at Cars & Coffee (and a few other shows), nobody has ever noticed it.
I've ordered Viper oil filters many times online. This one looks different (image 4230). The information is on a label attached to the filter, not printed on the filter. Came in a box marked properly, but it's different. Box is marked 05037836ab -001.
I bought a 2002 Viper from the original owner with 11,500 miles on it eight years ago. He had it for 15 years and rarely drove it. I put another 18,000 miles on the car since then. Same as Badinternet, I put a ton of money into it since I don't work on cars. Gaskets, hoses, AC system, slave...
Not really making the argument that values are increasing. I said stable or maybe rising. I realize this was a collector's car with less than 1000 miles, and not representative of any trend. Six different individuals bid over $100,000 for the car. I doubt they were all drunk. :)
I originally posted this (OP) from Hagerty and thought the same as y'all. Prices seem stable or maybe rising. Check this out: https://bringatrailer.com/listing/2002-dodge-viper-gts-53/?utm_source=Iterable&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=Watcher_Listing_Ended_Sold
Does anyone have experience with Expel WPF? I have an appointment coming up to have my windshield and headlights covered. Also, paint correction and ceramic coating. Anything to be concerned about before I drop off my Viper?
I have only seen summer tires for my Gen ll Viper. They get hard once the temperature dips into the 50s and below. Check the tire manufacturer's recommendations for cold weather. I live in South Carolina, where most days are mild in winter, but I won't drive my Viper if it's in the low forties...
I had a similar, soft intermittent whirring sound in September, and the shop replaced the belt, tensioner, and pulley. Now it's back. Very infrequent. This time I noticed that when I depress the clutch pedal it goes away. Thoughts?
Looks like orange coolant is leaking. I see one drop on top of the heat shield and more below as shown in the photo. I'll have to take it for repairs. What can I expect to have done?
I can still hear it when I turn the AC off. If it's a bearing on the serpentine drive, are they readily available? I'll have to drop the car off at a repair shop, so I sometimes purchase the item first if it's hard to get.
I'm hearing a soft whirring (woo-woo-woo) when sitting at idle. I don't hear it when I give it a little gas while stopped, and I don't hear it while driving (could be due to road noise). It doesn't always happen. I'll stop at a light and hear the sound, then at the next light, I don't hear it...
I had an evap purge solenoid installed at the shop, and the next day I discovered I have no low beams. High beams and fog lights work. Is it possible that the mechanic might have dislodged a wire while he was working under the car installing the new part, or is that unlikely?
