Pure Stupidity on my part. I use Battery Tenders, so the wires don't get smashed, I prop the hood up with a hood block. Took the Battery tender off over the weekend a while back. Did not put it back on, dropped the hood back down onto the hood prop. Decided mid week to take the car out...
There are many kits on the market that can clean up those original Lenses. Clouding over is one thing, Cracking all over the place is another and that was what was happening to me. John
I am researching and asking the same thing. Did you replace that lens with a factory lens ? I am being advised that a "too thick PPG" will not be advised. could discolor the lens or even warp it from the heat. He recommends P4 Polish from Chemical Guys for "General Maintenance" to remove any...
I was saving as Garage Art. After stuffing 6 cats in my 3 car garage, it became clear that it really isn't good - it can hardly be seen and no need to mount it on the ceilings, that just reduces the height I can raise the cars. Thanks !
I have a Gen III copperhead hood that blew off the car. It is cracked, the hood pad with tthe Viper Emblem is cracked. Is there ANY reason to save this hood? The intake, the pad clips etc. Let me know was going to trash it but someone may be able to use the scoops etc. Don't know.

The Gentleman who did the Paint work is Butch at The Carriage Shop in Ross Ohio. See this Link. https://www.ssrfanatic.com/threads/thank-you-to-butch-and-the-carriage-shop-in-ross-ohio.274034/?post_id=4759428#post-4759428
Scroll up for a description and pictures. Light plays crazy tricks on...
These cars look all off from different angles, the body lines can be deceiving. The rear Facia and front look off, they really are not, had the side sills painted and we put a black "rubberized" product on the bottom that can be touched up. Seriously, the pics do not do the car justice. I simply...
PS. I am happy that ViperOutlaw produces these and that Ryan can replace them. There are ZERO other options out there and for now, these look really really good. Hats off to both of them!

Well, I got everything completed and will post on another thread. Im mostly very happy with the lenses and the work. Had the detail shop not cracked my originals, I would have still had perfect lenses. But these look great and i spoke with a gentleman on this site who is a plastics engineer, he...
Hi Steve,
My lenses were siper clear and perfect despite being from Arizona and then TX. Spent most of its time in a garage you could tell. But the guy who I hired to take off the PPG plastic from the front Facia, hood and fenders, ruined my lamps. As of now, has not offered me ANYTHING to...
Thoughts ? I will check on how thick they are. That is important. https://www.weathertech.com/lampgard/?utm_source=BingAds&utm_medium=CPC&utm_campaign=Search%20-%20Exterior%20Auto%20Products%20-%20Gen&msclkid=b085c5433c0219651d12adcc67686c0b
I will keep you all informed here - just spoke with a Plastics Engineer who is on this site and gave me some really good advice. While the resin will be softer, there are things to do to keep them looking good and in nice shape. More to come but if anyone has experience let me know. Thank...
So I take it no one has had experience with these lenses and/or a thin ppf type of protection on our headlamps ? I'll let you know how mine turn out. Praying for all of this to work out properly. What a mess with these cars and some of the parts you can not get for them. John
From Viper Outlaw : "I think the most important thing is to not use any bulbs that will run hotter than OEM wattage. I agree on using very thin PPF. There's no need to put really thick PPF on the lenses and they do have a bit of flex to them."
John
As previously discussed, a trim shop ruined my Headlamps. I have since removed my headlamps and purchased the new lenses from Viper Outlaw. He has been very responsive and great to work with. I am having his source, Ryan, take off the old lens, and replace with the new Viper Outlaw Lens...
SOLD! Thank you, was able to help a fellow Viper Owner build a new rear end with a WaveTrac. Thats great. Maybe I should have done the same, but it is time to get rid of all my excess parts etc. Thanks! John
That looks great and great info! What paint did you use for the Exhaust Tip Portals ? Car looks killer. I may raise mine slightly as well. Our Roads here in Ohio are horrible. I did not get a Gen II as the last one rubbed everywhere we drove, dips in the road were not good for the front...
My guess is the race track. Has Autoform Roll Bars and a 5 point Seat Belt configuration. Found under the, or in back of the front drivers seat when I bought it. Previous owner drove it 43 miles in 17 years, just trailering it to Shows. She, I am positive, had no idea of its previous...
Cell Phone or Gmail. I will be heading to Norwalk for the Ames Pontiac Nationals tomorrow and Saturday and then heading south through Cincy Monday to look at another car. If you are on the way we could deliver it. I'll PM you.
John
I have the car at a Paint shop in Ross Ohio, the gentleman who is painting it has been in business for 50 years and I trust him. MY viper tech here in Dayton was just mentioning it to me based on his experience. I am asking the body shop to paint the side sills and the front facia Body color...
I am painting the Side Sills on an 05 with JohnB's High Flow Cats and Borla Exhaust. Is there special paint required to withstand the heat of the exhaust on the side sills of the GEN III's ? Thank you, John
