my bonestock dyno was 449.4rwhp and 489.0 rwtq. His numbers seem low for an srt with headers and the K&N intake. I haven't dyno'd since adding my belangers, hi-flow cats, crossover delete, magnaflow coffee cans, K&N and DC perf tune but I definately feel a remarkable sotp improvement.
you wouldn't want an underdrive pulley on an s/c application as you'll slow the rpm's of the s/c. if you try to compensate by going with a bigger s/c pulley then you run the risk of causing the s/c to rev higher than the recommended which could lead to premature failure.
okay gents, I'm feeling like an idiot :omg: what's the secret to pulling the plugs?
seems I cant get the (craftsman 5/8" spark-plug specific w/the rubber-boot inside) socket on all the way due to the individual plug shields. do they have to come out prior to pulling the plugs? and if...
wow, I totally missed that. I mis-interpreted his high-flow exhaust into being headers. now I feel like my stock dyno was a little low!:lmao:
RacerRobbie - does the ehp/etq stand for "estimated" hp & tq? doing the math, both numbers have an exact 15% powertrain loss. is the rwhp/rwtq...
it sounds like bad gas but my problem didn't start until 70 miles into the tank. maybe I should top it off from a different station and add some octane boost to see if it resolves itself.:dunno: thanks for the input gents:2tu:
I don't think our Vipers have them but my Mustang has a smog pump that cycles a small portion of the richer, fuel-heavy exhaust found at startup back through to the intake again to reduce emissions. Perhaps the lower a/f ratio can be explained if we do infact have a smog pump that is physically...
Last two times I've driven the car ('03 w/25k miles) I've noticed a considerable hesitation when releasing the clutch from a dead-stop, at speed it drive's okay but still seems like it's slower than normal. Engine sounds like it's might be missing on the driver's side, also noticing an...
His numbers might not be too far off though. A lot of the dyno numbers seem a little on the low side, which can be the product of the dyno itself. Bonestock my '03 put down 449.4rwhp & 489.0rwtq on a dynojet dyno. It might just be that Robbie's testmule had a better than average stock dyno...
Just got my \'03 back from the shop
I had a header-bolt break, one end still in the head. Eddie Martin :2tu: down in Phoenix (@ Bill Luke Dodge) did a hell of a job putting her back to normal. Also had the pcm removed and tuned by DC Perf. I haven't had her dyno'd since the stock run...
Maybe the turntable doubles as an elevator shaft to a 14-story, fully-ViperTech staffed, underground maintenace-bunker. That way, in the event of a maple-syrup shortage or hockey strike the cars could be evacuated and saved from crazed hordes of Canadiens!
j/k ;) That is the best looking...
Full Belanger with magnaflow coffee cans, crossover delete. Full out loud. It'll set off car alarms in parking lots easy, even if you park a safe spot away. I'm dead serious. Got mine done at Fat Alberts which I thought was cool because he took me over to Belangers shop around the corner and...
In a fit of cleaning I deemed it necessary to remove my MGW shifter bezel to clean the leather boot and failed to remember that the MGW bolts come pre-loctited... long story short is that I broke a couple of the tabs that the bezel mounts to, they snapped right off the console. What's barely...
I took mine off when my sub stopped working, you have to- to get the plastic surround off. Like it was said earlier, they are very thin and held in only by one bolt each. Aesthetically, I think they're fine but I wouldn't bet my life on them for rollover protection. BTW, in the end, I found...
This is all soooo true... My left foot was shaking the entire ride home from the dealer, thought for sure I would dump the clutch and look like a happy idiot.
Parked the car around 8pm in the garage and made my final (3x per hour) garage inspection around 3am (and had a 8 am tee-time to...
Silver '03, Belanger Tri-Y's, full catback exhaust, crossover delete. All MGW interior appointments. K&N filtercharger and a painted hoodliner.
Just ordered her some tires for her birthday and will be turning the rotors and throwing on some EBC's at the same time.
She's been to the...
Sitting at a stoplight in the left lane (2 cars ahead of me), lady stopped (yes-she was fully stopped) behind me decides to floor her grand cherokee because the cars in the right lane started to roll when the light changed green. Her excuse to the cop was that I sit soooo low... [******]...
