I have a 1994 also and here would be my upgrades (bolt-on) based on benefit/cost and this is omitting the head gasket replacement if needed:
1) K&N Filters & Smooth Tubes
2) Upgrade plug wires/plugs (Its a 20yr car and probably can get gains from new wires. recommend: AB QualityWires)
3)...
Thanks for the input! Hopefully I'll crack 500rwhp. I am definitely going to follow the break-in steps for the rebuilt engine to get the most out of it. I'll post the dyno once it is done.

Hi All!
I have my 1994 in the shop at Tator's finishing an engine refresh (76,000 miles and wanted to stay N/A) and a year apart from her; and just waiting on a tune. Couldn't find any threads with a compression of 9.3:1 on gen1 to compare. As with all projects: blown budget and longer than...
Looking to do some mods this winter but need a VEC2 or VEC3. If anyone knows of one for sale, please let me know. Missed my chance on ebay this week for one there. :(
They will definitely make a difference in stopping. I would definitely recommend them, especially with emergency stopping now. This distance now is definitely shorten.
Went on a ride yesterday with no problem. Parked her and the next morning went to start her up and the wheel is locked! Must be the power steering fuild and look in the reservoir and its empty. Check the ground and I find the fluid. Refill the reservoir with PS fluid/stop leak and crank her up...
Ordered my PS2 tires from PartsRack (and shipped/at my door in 2 days!!!:)) and also ordered Tom's 40mm rear brake upgrade on my Gen1 and as the title says: I am on the bandwagon! WOW!!!
PS2: Rear stays planted when you get on it from a stop, no more darting into the next lane on uneven...

I have the Roe Racing w/high flow cats exhaust on my 94 and the sides are now way cooler (can be touched without burn). The car is a little louder but sounds better IMO. At idle, you now have 2 free left blowers!
Situation:
I had a radio installed in my viper this Sat and the battery drained during installation. I purchased another battery (Sears DieHard Gold) and installed. The lights started flashing with the alarm set display flashing. Hit the fob Unlock and no cigar, lights still flashing...
Dave - Yes, I had a couple of things: Roe Exhaust installed, had to recharge the viper's Optima Red Top battery (tested good by Sears) and had Head Gaskets changed out. The Exhaust is louder than normal but as I WOT it, I occasionally hear feedback from speakers regardless if radio is on.
Don't know how old the plug are, I would assume the original. The thing is the radio (IVA-C800) will stay on for about 1-2 minutes when I first start the car. Then the radio will either just lose power all together or reset and shut down, then when I hit the PWR button; it will come on for a sec...
1994 RT/10
It is an aftermarket Alpine, older model 6" screen CD player. Right now the radio will not remain on when I hit the PWR button, but when I WOT, the noise whine gets louder with RPMs. I checked the grounds with the battery cable, but was wondering if having to recharge the Optima...
Having strange issues with my Alpine radio shutting off/reseting iteself doing WOT and a whine sound that increases with the RPMS . Even with the radio off I still get a little feedback sometimes like a low whine as a open it up. The radio will come on then off again immediately also. I have a...
My steering wheel on the viper is starting to flake and losing leather to grip so I decided to get an aftermarket steering wheel (MOMO) and a hub adapter. I searched on the forum and found a couple of references on swapping with a Momo but no real detail. Can the hub be taken off with a...
hardy har har Boy, aren't the comedians out tonight...
Talked to Chuck and he gave me some good advice. At this point the tech said that the starter is also shot in addition to the PDC wires and the wire harness to the dash being fried. The fried wires would have been obvious to the tech...
Well, I called around and found a salvage yard that said they may have the pieces from a 94. He said the tech is probably referring to the power distribution center (PDC) harness (outside the cabin) and then the wiring harness to the dash. They said that basically both of these parts comprise...
The tech says that the wiring from the bulkhead connector to the radiator is completely burnt and that I need the wiring harness both inside and outside of the cabin all the way to the gauges. He said it is located on the passenger side and it has a 40 prong (sp) connector as a point of...
