I just paid 145.00 for an oil change at the dealership which caused quite a laugh back at the office. I don't know how much synthetic oil cost but I figured at 10 quarts and $8/quart it was reasonable.
I paid 68500 for a 2004 with 1800 miles 4 months ago and that was the best price I could see in the nation. I thought I had a great deal because the car had dropped 16K in the first year. I'm hoping that with the diminishing of vert production next year it may slow down the decline. I don't...
I like the phrase "extensively benchmarked". #1 it means they thought the Viper was the goal, the standard in the class and #2 "extensively" almost implies they copied it.
What do you think of this?
Corvetteforum: You've said in the past that you don't consider the Dodge Viper to be a competitor of the Corvette because it's from a different market segment. But I've heard some Viper owners say recently that they consider the C6 ZO6 to be a significant competitor...
Re: Rumor of Viper Blue Convertibles being built --- it\'s TRUE !!
From the photos looks like a lighter shade of blue than the coupe. Great color! :headbang: :headbang:
If you can drive a motorcycle the viper is easy. I came from two corvettes and the Viper is more sensitive due to hunting little bumps and grooves. I keep two hands on the wheel when I can see something coming up and then there is no problem. Now I enjoy the extra attention and focus needed...
Had the same thrill coming from two prior vettes. If your driving doesn't include a lot of braking and stopping the car is a great daily driver. Taking a curve hard in the morning is a greater jolt than espresso! I changed my stereo in the first month and have a better nav/audio system than...
Besides paying 5K for a mamba edition does anyone know if its possible to replace the front black viper badge on a black SRT with a red one. My black convert has the black badge and the car looks alot better with a red badge. No this is not something that keeps me awake at night.
Having just switched from a confirmed vette order to the Viper in the last 3 months, my primary motivation was the vette's problems with production. They never made the car they promised last year and I don't think it will be different with the Z06. They may only produce 1 or 2000 next year...
The ashtray is a great idea. Make the holes drinkholders!
I'll try to remove them tonight. If anyone has pictures, would like to see if the car looks better without them.
Since the roll bars don't serve any purpose and may only minimally add to its appearance, has anyone tried to remove them? Wouldn't be that difficult to create an insert for the holes and the car's convertible lines might be improved.
I had a paid order on a new vette last year but they never got around to building any convertibles except black ragtops. I had to have a convertible and the Z06 is not and may not ever be a convertible. That was the decision maker for me. 100mph feels alot faster in a 'vert and the viper's...
Ad in Autotrader for a large dealer locally for a '04 with 1900 miles for 68.5. Numerous vipers down here with miles less than 2000 which is less mileage than you see for ferraris.
Never thought the stock system was loud enough and it distorted at 80% volume. Went with Alpine 450W five channel amp in the trunk, focal speakers, JL subwoofer, Pioneer AVIC N2, and a Pioneer 12 CD changer. Now the car is dangerously loud and has a rear view camera. The camera is absurd but is...
