Wow, a lot of good responses here. The OP is lucky that he
didn't hurt himself.
Those guys you thought were congratulating you for not wrecking your car, are probably still laughing.
Hopefully, other new Viper owners are reading this and can
learn the easy way. Once you...
HaHa...glad you said that. I was trying to figure out
why he was missing 3rd gear, but now that I know it's an '06...
that explains it. Us 4th generation guys are lucky. :2tu:
I say mid 12's. Without heating up the rear tires,
you're leaving alot on the table.
Be careful, bro, otherwise there's going to be several
nice mopars for sale. ;)
Welcome Noobie. I got the same car. This is a great forum, but those Vette guys have an unfair advantage: sheer numbers. Any problem you have with a Vette, and it's guaranteed somebody else has had the same problem, and will probably tell you exactly how to fix it. Also, Vette owners can...
Wow, Wanted. Those were my thoughts exactly, and that's
what I went and did. (...got a 9,000 mile '08, for 55K)
Only problem though, once I saw the Venom Red in person,
I cancelled the "new paint" plan. :2tu::D

somebody else to deliver that car to your...
Ok... I'll be the one to ask: Why are you limiting yourself to 400 miles? In this day and age, they're lots of ways to protect yourself in buying cars- sight unseen. The car you want is going to have at least two years left on the warranty.
...no disrespect...just curious.
I've got an 06 SLK55. They do high 12's stock. I remember being incredibly impressed the first time I jumped on it
from 50 mph.
As little as the SLK's are, it still weighed in at 3600lbs.
As far as the amenities: an SLK compared to a Vette would
be like comparing a Vette...
...my sentiments exactly... The only reason I bought the
Venom Red was because it was so cheap (55K/ 9000 miles). But,
as soon as I seen it in person, it grew on me real fast. My
original intentions were to paint it black. Now, I think I'll
keep it. :2tu:
