Thanks for your answer, yeah I know 911 Turbos are fast as hell, I belive that in Motor Trend's last "High-Speed Shootout" test they got an 11.92 @ 116mph from the 911 Turbo. They had a Viper GTS ACR that ran 12.19 @ 119 on that same test. And thats exactly my point no "major" mags have the Viper in the 11s, I want to proof that the Viper is an 11 sec. monster too.


P.S. The Viper on that test did pulled on the 911 after the 1/4 mile, but I'm sure you'll knew that.

PROOF POSITIVE!

GM High Tech Magazine, under the watchful eye of Raceway Park, in Englishtown NJ ran a comparison of a 2001 Z06 against my stock 2000 GTS, in 98 degree weather with absolute aweful 90 percent humidity:

Z06 = 12.48 (not bad, but a press car)

GTS = 11.98!!!!!

best published I have been able to find, although owners have posted slips in the 11.6 to 11.8 range bone stock (usually with tubes and filters) in the time I have been on the board.

Personally I have went 12.1 best so far, getting there, but not fast enough!!

maybe some of the 11 stockers will chime in, I know Mike Brunton had his 98 in the deep 11's stock, I think 11.6x with 1.7x 60 foot times.

my GTS ACR ran 12.44@117mph 100% stock at 3600ft, with a 2.0 60ft time!! at 3600ft that is VERY VERY fast for a stock car. the fastest zo-6 I have EVER seen there ran a 13.5@106 so that is saying alot for what vipers run stock

I believe it was mopar muscle, early in 01 with an rt-10 ran 11.77. Hope this helps you. Jerry

I have read on many posts here, on this site, that there is a documented 11.7x sec. 1/4 mile Viper pass but so far I haven't see any proof of that. Now,I do belive you guys and I know that the Viper has the muscle to do it, but there are some ******** Porsche fans(yeah I'm outnumbered here) that are talking to much B.S and I want to shut their mouths, does anyone here knows a link to the article, if it is on the web, if not can someone scan it and post it here. Thanks in advance.

P.S. Any other articles of any 11 sec. passes are welcome too. Stock cars.

I went to the track this Saturaday with a guy I know who has a 2002 911 Turbo. His best was a 12.2 which he hit twice and he had a couple 12.4s too. His MPH was not very high, maybe 114 at best. He ran at least 15 times or so and those were his best #'s.

Either way the all wheel drive definitely helped it out of the hole and it was very quick.

Yes, I think it was 1badgts who witnessed the 11.77-second run by Evan Smith. If you do a search for "11.77" and select all forums, you'll get quite a few hits.
