I got lucky and got a second set a while back, but kept my originals to experiment with. My passenger side currently has a torn blade though and I can't find the ones I kept to try the old "cut and paste" trick yet. Sounds like it's been pretty successful though.

I know these wiper blade questions come up periodically.

I’m just sitting here spit-ballin with a Mckenna 10 in hand. The whole arm assembly is easily removed from the linkage, with one nut removal and a simple small puller, as I have my Gen III arms removed completely from the car for a few years now.

Has anyone tried simply replacing the entire arm with a similar length from another vehicle with the ability to use common aftermarket blade refills?

Not a bad idea, though it may take some junkyard hunting. I know there is an offset on one arm compared to the other, so it might take two different cars to get there. Hood clearance would be my second concern, though that's probably not as bad.

I bought a spare set of wiper arms for my GEN 3, the plan has been to graft on the more traditional shepherds hook onto them, so they will accept the common wiper blades.

OR, I could make a 3D printed adapter? Say $50 for a set of 2. Any interest?
