2-tone interior questions

I want to change my all black interior to red & black. I am thinking of a mamba steering wheel, red seat inserts to replace the suede(similar to what Hiss did), and either doing the two center console inserts OR having the other(padded) area of the center console, glove box area and lower door panels dyed red. The guy I spoke with who does dying says he has not had any problems yet. I do not want something that is going to look like poop in a year or so. Do any of you guys have experience with dying the molded interior panels? I suppose I could wait until the red 2008 parts come out, but I bet the will cost and arm AND a leg.

no experience with dyeing, but i did change seat inserts to red, using a leather snake skin print. do a search and you should see pics, if you're interested in seeing what it looks like.
