2000 GTS Window Regulator

Just had my window regulator replaced by dealer. The part alone was $540. Weird thing the motor worked well on old but wouldn't operate window up or down. Is there any residual value in old broken regulator? I would think someone could rebuild it.

It can be rebuilt for about $200. keep it, rebuild it, have it as a spare.
