2009 viper hood/fender grommets

I have a 09 SRT-10 and noticed that some 09 do not have the grommets (rubber bushings) that are mounted on the front fenders like mine. I guess they are there to cusion the hood when closed, but why would some vipers not have them. There are three on each side, you can see them in the red and blue viper pictures. The white, and limited edition silver vipers do not have them.

on my o9 they are on the hood not the fenders. the new ones are about 3'' long each piece

there used to help raise and align the hood to the quarter panels, i believe

I will remove mine tomorrow and close the hood to see what happens.

Can you take a picture of under the hood of your car, where the grommets are located.
