550 miles oil loss?

got 550 miles on the viper,performed the proper engine break in period.checked the oil level,down close to 1 quart,i would think this is normal just wanted some feed back.going to have the oil,filter changed this week.than start changing every 3000 miles.

I have to add a quart every 500-1000 miles, maybe less. Depends on how hard Im driving it. Its normal from what Ive seen.

Each engine is different; haven't noticed any appreciable oil loss between 3k oil changes since new.
The oil could have been low before your first check but you may want to keep a eye on it for awhile just in case...
