9011 high beam bulbs

Has anyone replaced the 9006 high beam bulbs in a 96 or 97 Viper with a 9011 Tosheba bulb? The 9011 was standard on the 98 and later Vipers and is a much brighter output. It requires grinding one of the three tabs on the bulb to a slightly narrower dimension to fit the 96 or 97 socket. My question is: are there any problems with this conversion, such as burning the reflector or wire problems, since it is a 65W power draw? I have a source for the bulbs and they are not the GE units that had the breakage problems. These are made by Tosheba and cost around $28 each. I made a side by side comparison with the 65W 9011 and a 100W Phoebus 9005 in a 93 Audi and the 9011 seems to be brighter.

Are you referring to "Toshiba" or is there REALLY a company out there named Tosheba???

It is Toshiba. Sorry for the misspelling. They bought the rights from GE to make the bulb.
