Yes, you need to get the gen2 fan. Turns twice as fast. It is the fan that comes on the newer models. Big difference

When the A/C is on, the fan automatically runs at high speed. The '99 fan & shroud assembly is more efficient.

MoPar has had FOUR price increases on this great 1996-1998 fan upgrade assembly since January. PartsRack sells the assembly of Shroud/Motor/Fan complete for $159.......... Majd, I will ship it BAX to you, just say the word! Virtullay a direct bolt-in to 96-98.7. And, minor wiring and stud mods allow it to fit 93-96 RT/10.
