It has been a great experience working with Todd Abrams, owner and tuner of A&C Performance in Murrieta, CA for about 6 months now slowly and succesfully modifying my '05 Copperhead.
My goal for '08 year with my Copperhead was to extract as much power as possible, have awesome throttle response without modifying engine internals or going forced induction. Well Todd has made me one happy customer. He just completed a great install and tune of the VEC3 for me. The dyno numbers speak for themselves (521 rwhp and 538 rwtq from his conservatively rated Dyno Dynamics System. On a Dynojet, these numbers be about 20hp higher). This is with American Racing Headers and Cats and stock mufflers.
After speaking to Todd on several occasions he knew exactly what i was looking for with my Viper so he suggested the VEC3. With the VEC3 and Todd's tuning, throttle response and liveliness of the motor is incredible. Laying into throttle moderately, while in 3rd or 4th the car instantly reacts very strongly with each 100 rpm increase of the motor. Hitting the throttle hard is an amazing burst of power. Power is one thing but having a crisp reactive throttle tune takes the fun factor of my Viper to another level. I am a firm believer, and feeling the rush of acceleration is believing, in Todd's tuning work. The car has made great gains with the VEC3. The car is more powerful, more responsive and the engine is much smoother. We just couldnt get the stock computer to feel the same. The car feels fantastic now. My Viper was strong before the VEC3 install (488 rwhp & 510 rwtq) and with the VEC3 I went to (521rwhp and 538 rwtq) a gain of 33 rwhp and 28rwtq. I think anyone be satisfied with those numbers from a naturally aspirated stock motor SRT-10.
Keep up the good work Todd and see you again next year for your custom Paxton Setup!!!
