Well, it ain't no Venom 800, but the car seemed pretty strong for the first time out since the rebuild. The times weren't anything spectacular (the 60' time tells you what a crappy track this is), but I was pleased with the trap speed:

I am hoping that when the car gets a few more miles and I find a decent track that I can hit the high 11's. The lines to get a run yesterday were ridiculous, with over an hour between each one. I did this run as my first and then fishtailed all the way down the track on my second run. With Norman the Observant in the stands and a 10-second Grand National with "VIPRKLR" plates on the grid, I decided to call it a day. No sense in embarrassing the marquee on a slippery track! I hope to post better times soon.

PS. The most fun was when six race bikes pulled up next to me on the deserted country freeway on the way home and wanted to play. Kept it safe and got six thumbs up when I made my exit.
