Starting a separate post in case anyone recognizes the part description...
I'm trying to get access to the passenger side ac condenser line in order to replace the o-ring.
There is a part "upper air baffle" (#4; 4709 403) which is blocking access, and I do not see anyway to remove it, nor has it been mentioned in the shop manual or any posts.
The baffle spans the entire width of the condenser, and reaches forward under the bumper bar. I found and removed the two bolts and two rivets holding it in place, but can't get the part out. The ends are under the "wings" of the hood hinges that hold the hood latches, and are pinned down by them. It seems I'd need to remove the hood, latches and hinges to be able to lift off the baffle, and it seems very odd that *nothing* mentions this is required (nor do I have the ability to remove the hood; working by myself), so there must be some trick/process to get this thing off. Maybe I'm not visualizing the parts correctly, and there is a way to remove the hinge "wings" without removing the hood?
Hoping someone knows the secret and can share that info?
Thanks,
Mike
