ACR OEM Adjustable Suspension Tool for Adjusting Jounce & Rebound

Anyone have one lying around in your tool box that was taken out of your ACR you sold that I could purchase. The Dynamics began in March (Late)of 2000 and were used on 2000, 2001 and 2002 ACR cars. It is not imperative but would be nice to have as I have taken in several ACR cars that they are missing. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Who makes those shocks.......I would think that you would be able to get one from the manufacturer.

Aren't all of those collars universal in design?
If that's the case, maybe Summit?

Hey Bernie,
My DS shocks have knobs that you can turn by hand to adjust the compression and rebound settings. The only time you need a special tool is when adjusting ride-height, right? I thought it was the Konis that required the tool for compression/rebound adjustment.

You are correct! I have a 2001 that the ride height is in need of resetting. The car literally bounces you from side to side when hitting a bump, The car will need a fresh alignment and ride height adjustment. These have been slammed to the ground. MMMM very interesting grasshoper. I will put it on the lift Monday and take a closer look. Thanks gentleman for your help.

If you do end up finding a source for the height adjustment tool, can you let me know? I didn't get one when I bought my car and I'd like to have it.

Part of the bouncing issue you have is due to the excessive rear spring rate that accompanied cars that were equipped with the Dynamic shocks. My understanding is that most guys dumped this shock set up who were actually racing their cars. Even the ACR's with Koni's will jump to the next lane on bad asphalt. As far as adjustment, the Koni's only use a "spanner wrench" for ride height adjustments. The spanners can be purchased from McMaster-Carr. The Koni equipped cars did not include any spannners, nor are they available through Koni or Dodge. The correct part # for the Koni 2812 Race Damper is McMaster-Carr #55165 A41. You need two wrenches to do the job properly. For those of you with the Dynamic shock if you can't figure out how to choose the proper tool, let me know and I will guide you through the process.

....I just recently found them while going thru some stuff.....they were both in sealed brown envelopes so I opened one to look at it....they are just shaped kinda like a socket wrench...gold in color with a small point on one side....hard to explain....I would post a pix if I knew how....if you want, I will try to go by the garage and take a few pix to Email to you...

This is what the spanner wrench set that I ordered through McMaster-Carr looks like. They are nice forged steel German made tools that fit the Koni Race Dampers. The factory units for the Dynamic are probably milled out of Aluminum stock with the proper pin pressed in place.
