I have an ACR pan, baffles etc. Can it just be bolted on to a Gen II GTS? Is the pick up the same? What advantages, if any does it provide on the street or drag racing? Is it heavier, hold more oil, keep oil on the pick up under acceleration? Don't want more oil or more wieght.

Call John B. at The Parts Rack. John supplies a 2000 oil pan, windage tray, pan cover and baffle doors that work incredible well. This setup is not available from DC. I doubt you have all of these components which are essential for road racing. The 2000 and newer pans hold ten quarts. Eat a few less cheeseburgers and you won't have to worry about the weight of two additional quarts of oil.

Thanks JonB, thats the one I have. Sounds like I should give it a try. Trap door should help the oil stay put on launch and de-cel. Scraper could help with crank splash. Nothing to loose since already have it.

What are the performance advantages of a modified oil pan in terms of windage and effect on hp if any?

Hey Jon-
I bought your '96 upgrade kit. Installed it last Sunday.
I don't see no stinking "trap doors". What gives??? Did I buy the wrong kit??? Was something missing???

Phew- thought I was going wacky for not seeing the trap doors!!!
I thought the windage tray was the one on the bottom of the motor- guess I was wrong about that one too!(you seem to call it a scraper tray)

So Jon- next oil change- whart is the cost of the baffle (windage tray) with the trap doors? It will only take about 10 minutes to install it in the pan I now have, or do I need a different pan? Windage tray and trap doors for HOW MUCH???
Thanks.
