I have a 97 GTS with Belanger headers, RT high flow cats, and 3" Borla cat-back. Was wanting some information on adding an X or H pipe and how this would change the sound (ie. louder, deeper)??

Any comments would be appreciated!!

Check this thread I started awhile agohttp://vca2.viperclub.org/forums/showflat.php?Cat=&Board=UBB14&Number=304674&Forum=All_Forums&Words=x%20pipe&Match=Entire%20Phrase&Searchpage=0&Limit=25&Old=allposts&Main=290367&Search=true#Post304674

And this one might help scince it was about adding an x pipe to the Borla/Mopar setup http://vca2.viperclub.org/forums/showflat.php?Cat=&Board=UBB14&Number=304674&Forum=All_Forums&Words=x%20pipe&Match=Entire%20Phrase&Searchpage=0&Limit=25&Old=allposts&Main=290367&Search=true#Post304674

I'm definitley going to do this, run Belanger Headers, no cats, Mopar exhaust with an x-pipe welded in. From those two threads, people who have done this said it sounded much better, deeper and with a meaner exhaust note, and gets rid of that 5 cylinder sound with the pulses able to cross over each other.

How do you like your Belanger, Borla setup right now? Do you have a soundclip?

Saleen-Explorer,

I love the Belanger/Borla set-up. Just looking for a little different sound and have heard that an X pipe may do the trick!!

Thanks for the threads!! Was the second one supposed to be different?
