Now that I have my new air bags installed I'm looking for the proper sequense to activate the system without blowing the bags. The service manual isn't clear to me. Plug everything up, install fuses and then connect the negative battery cable?????
If anyone is a tech I would appreciate some help.
Thank you
Sal

Hi Sal,

That sequence will work. After hooking up the battery, roll the key and duck, no just kidding! :smirk: Roll the key on and let the air bag module check the new bags. If the air bag light goes out after 15-25 seconds, your good to go!

Not hijack the thread, but I will anyway, my BMW had a recall out whereby the air bag could accidentally deploy when starting the car. For about two weeks, I would start the car from the rear seat. :D

Everything works great thanks to the WIZARD CHUCK TATOR!!!! Thanks again Chuck for going out of your way to help someone. I will remember your support. All I need now is paint and we're riding happy.

Thank you
Sal
