So i put my Eibachs on and called the dealership to get a price/appt. on an alignment. They told me it's 4.5 hours and around $500. I told them that was ridiculous and not to worry about it. They also told my 4 hours to install my springs. I did it in my driveway with hand tools in 3. If my car didn't have warranty I'd never deal with these guys. What are most of you guys paying for an alignment. I called another place that is very well respected locally and they said 2-2.5hours, $175 out the door.

I've been quoted 3 hours on the alignment at the shop at Motorsport Ranch here in Fort Worth. About $300.00. They seem competent as they are building a full blown race GTS in the spotless shop.

This may sound funny but I just had my 97GTS aligned after a wreck. I didn't think that there was a chance in H*#L that it would align. Took it to Tire Kingdom in central Fla and the guy did it in about 75 min. Oh and he DID get it in alignment. Total bill: $107.45 I watched the computer as he did it and he really worked on it, especially the side that was hit, but he did get it done. I am a dealer and NEVER take my cars to the dealerships to get anything done, but I do watch everything as it is being done. And yes this was for 4 wheels.

Since your local you might know/heard where I'm thinking of taking the car. Nix & Black's. I've heard nothing but good things and alignments are their speciality. Only thing I don't like is they won't let me make an appointment.

$500 is about right.

Most of the shops don't have the proper Equipment or any clue how to set the ride height. It's not just a quick camber, caster and toe. 4.5 hours is the book time.

We do a complete street/track alignment WITH cornerweighting if applicable for $300. Without it is $200. Maybe I need to raise our price?

Dude my local dodge dealer quoted me $69.00 and then bumped it to $99 saying it took a little longer. They have a viper tech and I've taken both my vipers always to the same dealer, they do good work! $500 is crazy! And they even set them to the specs that somebody on the board gave me here, maybe it was woodhouse , cant remember.

Hey 2000 Black RT10,

Cheers to posting the recall tech bulletin. Best explanation of 'design hight' info and adjustments I've seen yet.

All of these $99 alignments might be a get what you pay for deal.

The shop I used quoted 4 hours at $90 per hour.

Turned out my '01 GTS was close enough to spec we agreed to do no further work on it,
but it took an hour of labor just to install the equipment and set the car up to begin the check.

Dave,

I agree that sometimes you do get what you pay for. But in my case, it was a viper dealer, with the same viper tech I've been working with for years, and I gave them the woodhouse specs that I was given online and they set all the specs to those specs. So in this case I think they just underquoted me and then had to do the work. If you give them the exact specs you want, and they set those specs, your getting what you paid for. So I'd rather pay $99 than $400 in that case.
