I have a 2008 coupe and have been using amsoil in it and all my other vehicles. Amsoil did not make a 0W-40 oil as recommended so I used 10W-30 racing oil which I found to be the best for keeping my oil pressure from going too high. It seems if I used 15W-50 oil the oil pressure was way too high and that concerned me. I can see how the 0W-40 oil can keep the oil pressure in the correct zone and not read so high when the engine is warming up. I don't know how many pounds of oil pressure the 8.4 engine is supposed to have when running in the 3000 to 6000 RPM range as mine is well over 75 PSI hot. I became concerned about the higher weight oils resulting in oil pressure that is too high. this new Amsoil will be my next oil change and I am a believer in using the best oil available. I wanted to pass this information on to all viper owners and owners of the new high horsepower Chrysler owners. my Amsoil dealer just brought me the flyer on this new 0W-40 oil.
