Hey guys.
Being that I was (and still am, I guess) a huge Corvette fan I begged by brother in law to bring home a new c6 (has connections) so I could spend some actual time with one.
Last night I drove in a yellow C6 convertable 6 speed and the car is a VERY NICE car. "NICE" I think is the key work here. It is very quiet, comfortable and rides about perfect but produces a bit more body roll than I would like. I really like the new look. Stepping on the pedal makes me think it might be as fast as my 94 Viper (light mods, exhaust, 3.55 gear), but it does not really FEEL like it. Low end torque rocks.
As I drove away from the c6 tour in my Viper, I found myself enjoying MY car more than I had in a while. It's simply more fun. This is when I was able to put my finger on what the new vette is really missing.... ATTITUDE. In a few years the new body excitement will go away...etc...etc...
Hold on to you G1's and 2's guys. I don't think they are replacable (except with another).
