If I advance my timing, what kind of increase in power could I see. (Considering I have enough fuel to handle this to allow the advance).

Can you explain to a dummy like me how it works and the mechanics of advancing timing? :D

We would have to know a little more about your car to give a guesstimate on HP gains. However, I HIGHLY doubt the gains would be enough to outweigh the associated risks of advancing the time. Advanced timing= higher risk of predetonation (Ping or Knock)... especially on Forced Induction cars.

I'm not looking to advance timing, I meant to take out some retard in my timing when I am under boost.

uhh, you don't advance or retard the timing for power increases. You do it to stop detination. If you have 10 lbs of boost and no knock, don't mess with your timing. If you increase the boost and gas and get knock then you retard the timing until the detination stops. If you have a piggy back ECM then read the instructions it will explain all this.

Timing advance = power. But only if you are using a higher octane gas
