Any problem with Clearbra over stripes???

I brought the black beast (silver stripes) to a very reputable clearbra installer in Atlanta right after taking delivery of the car. They turned us away after feeling the raised edge of the stripes across the hood and front fascia.

Their concern was that the plastic film would not sit down along the edge of the stripe and would slowly lift and create an air pocket running along the edge of the stripe as the material cured. He said it would appear as a 1/8" white border along the stripe.

So, I asked if we could put a cut in the film along the edge of the stripe and he said that as the film cures, it will pull from each side and creat a gap.

Has anyone installed the clear bra on their striped SRT? If so, how does it look along the edge of the stripes?

I was concerned about that as well, but my installer (Ultrashield) was not. No problems with mine after 11 months.

I've had one on my FE coupe for almost a year and I have had no problems. Find a new installer...

If you cut it along the stripe, it will shrink and widen the gap over a period of about one year. Will be ugly.
