Any shortcut to taking off Valve covers on a Gen1?

Was going to clean up my valve covers, but the passanger side looks like I will have to take off some other hardware to get to the bolts on the bottom? Any suggestions/recomendations or shortcuts?

Clean up what? If you are referring to the letters in magnesium, take a wooden block, extremely fine wet sandpaper, something like 2000, tape off red paint, lightly sand, turns out perfect. Takes 5 minutes.

Apply wd40 with finger and you should be good for 3 months or so.
