I'm heading out to Lapeer next Saturday if anyone wants to come race or just watch.

I'm planning on being there around 1-1:30 and making a few runs. Hope to see you there.

Do they enforce the rules?

Here are some that seem to apply to me/us:
3.All convertibles running 13.99 or faster must have a .6 roll bar and shoulder harness.
4.All stick shift vehicles running 12.99 or faster, or running slicks must have a blow proof steel scatter shield.
5.All vehicles running 11.50 in the1/4 or7.30 in the 1/8 mi. or faster must have a .6 roll bar and shoulder harness and a trans blanket. Driver must also be wearing a protective jacket.

Well, now that you mention it, they wouldn't let me run my dual quad 390ci straight axled 63 Falcon Sprint w/o a blow proof scattershield back in 1971..(grrr)

But I've run there with a Viper recently and so has GTSnake. I don't think the guy even looked under my Viper's hood last time I was there.

You'd get 1 run in at least..it's kind of a Ma & Pa set up...

Bring a helmet everyone

(sounds like a list of excuses to me :) )

Dunno, I wasn't pulling any big holeshots myself, didn't seem too bad on Pilots. But I wasn't running a blower.

Top end's kinda b-b-bumpy in the right lane :)

Just kiddin Ron !

From what I remember last time since I showed up a little late no one ever even looked at my car. I paid my $20 and pulled into the pits. Put my helmet on and drove into the staging lanes. Although I never broke 11.5 no one asked me anything about drive shaft loops or roll bars.

I'd love to make it next time. I haven't taken the GTS to the track yet. Btw, they do enforce the rules at least they did with me. I was there a few weeks back with my TT Z06. Right off the street I turned a 11.0@140 and the guy said slow down or go home. I figured I'd practice all day and one run full out run. They told me the 2nd transgression and not only would they boot me, they wouldn't even give me a slip.

I think it was the 140 more than the 11.0 that got attention.

Otherwise, anyone running slower might not be hassled.

Hell, it's worth going even if you only get one run.

Just DO IT
