Automobile Magazine--\"20 to Remember\"

I know better than to get pissed by car mags, but in the new Automobile they are celebrating somehow staying in business for 20 yrs and include what they consider the 20 most memorable cars during that time period. Needless to say, the Viper is not included. Bob Lutz and Tom Gale are included as 20 of the most influential types, but the car they are perhaps best known for, and perhaps the gutsiest move from prototype to production somehow did not make the cut. Here are some that did:

1.Chrysler Minivan- Oh yeah, single handedly responsible for leaving more families stranded on the side of the road than any car of the last 20 yrs.

2.Chrysler 300C--a late model pick here. Destined to be a pimpmobile for decades to come.

3.Jeep Cherokee-- What do you get when you take a permapack box, put 4 wheels on it with a bum tranny?

4.Mazda Miata-- "I feel like a woman...."

5.Mini Cooper S--how original. Didn't they used to make these back in the..(never mind).

6.Boxster-- "Gee, I just turned 40, I'll buy a Porsche--it must be fast."

7.WRX--"hey kids, tired of putting baseball cards in those spokes?"

8.C6 Vette--"but if we make 400HP, expose the headlights, blow out the rear won't it look like a....?"

Can't believe the Elise didn't make the list. Then again I have never seen a Lotus ad in Automobile. Cheer up, Dodge, maybe one day if you produce something really fast, innovative , risky and radical you will make the list.
